Abstract

Various methods of surgical treatment of inguinal hernia have been described, including open and laparoscopic approaches. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages; the choice is determined by the individual characteristics of the patient and the experience of the surgeon. Surgical treatment using polymer plastic meshes allows achieving good results.
