Abstract: Increased number of patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) in the world, the number of surgical complications is also steadily growing. In surgical practice, purulent complications associated with diabetic foot syndrome (DFS) are the most common. Damage to the bone structure of the foot is often a tragedy for patients with neuropathic DFS and in most cases leads to the loss of the lower limb. To solve this issue in modern medicine, a deep knowledge of a specialist in this area and the development of new optimal methods of surgical treatment are required.
