Abstract: | The results of the study showed that morphological changes in the endometrium in women with menstrual-ovarian function disorders related to COVID-19 varied depending on the severity of the disease. In Group I, lymphocytic infiltration in the endometrial stroma was found in 40% of cases, cystic expansion of glands in 50% of cases, and diapedesis hemorrhages in 35% of cases. In Group II, simple hyperplasia of endometrial glands was 1.7 times higher, blood-filled vessels in the stroma were 1.3 times higher, and diapedesis hemorrhages were 1.7 times higher compared to Group I. In Group III, epithelial hyperplasia of endometrial glands was 2.1 times higher, hyperchromatic nuclei in 2.2 times higher, hematoma around glands in 1.8 times higher, and focal hemorrhages in the stroma were 2.3 times higher compared to Group I.The results of the study indicate that the SARS-CoV-2 virus penetrates the endometrial tissues, causing significant damage and leading to the development of endometritis. These changes suggest that special therapeutic measures are necessary to restore menstrual-ovarian function in affected women. |
