dc.description.abstract A review of the genetic aspects of ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a chronic inflammatory disease of autoimmune origin with a predominant lesion of the axial skeleton is presented. Since the beginning of the era of genome-wide search for associations, more than 150 loci associated with AS have been identified, but this explains no more than 30% of cases of inheritance. The review attempts to understand the role of the ERAP1 genes in the development of AS. Continuation of research in this direction will create the prerequisites for the emergence of new goals for targeted therapy. en_US
