dc.description.abstract Esophageal cancer ranks the eighth in the world’s cancer incidence and the sixth in the global cancer death cause. There are two major histological subtypes of the esophagus: esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). ESCC and EAC have different geographic and demographic models. ESCC has a high incidence in many developing countries. en_US
