Objective. To determine the significance of cytokine profile management in normal and pathological conditions in children, in particular, in the immunopathogenetic development of chronic kidney disease. Conclusion:various properties of cytokine mediators serve to protect the body from infectious agents and repair tissues. First of all, cytokines regulate the development of local protective processes, cause the formation of an inflammatory reaction. Therefore, the composition and ratio of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines can be considered as the most objective indicators of the inflammatory process and the growth of fibrosis. The prediction of an imbalance in the cytokine system can be used as a biomarker for chronic kidney disease, disease progression, and treatment efficacy. An analysis of the literature data revealed the scientific and practical significance of studying the cytokine status in chronic kidney disease. |
