Research purpose: Evaluation of the role of endovascular methods in the treatment of patients with gangrene of the lower extremities on the background of diabetes mellitus. Materials and methods: the results of the study and inpatient treatment of 323 patients for 2015-2022 were analyzed. with purulent-necrotic complications of SDS in the Republican Center for Purulent Surgery and Surgical Complications of Diabetes Mellitus at the 2nd Clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy. All patients underwent percutaneous transluminal balloon angioplasty (TBA) of lower limb arteries. Results and discussion: In the analysis of affected segments of the peripheral arterial bed, patients often suffered a defeat of two arteries of the tibia - anterior and posterior tibial (FTA and BTA) - 27.5%. Isolated lesion of the superficial femoral artery (SFA) was observed in 50 (20%) patients and, together with isolated occlusion of the BTA, was characterized by a malignant course.
