Abstract:
Untreated osteoporosis can increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures. To date, the standard image modality for diagnosis of osteoporosis is a dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scan, the diagnosis for osteoporosis can be done if 2.5 SD below the normal adult mean, also it is scored as a T score [2]. Ballane et al 2017 evaluated the prevalence and incidence of vertebral fractures worldwide using published Medline data.
