Abstract

Patients with idiopathic osteonecrosis have more chances of presenting thrombophilias than those with secondary osteonecrosis, suggesting these coagulation disorders can play an important role in the pathogenesis of the osteonecrosis in cases where there was no initial risk factor recognized.
