Abstract:
To study the epidemiological and organizational aspects of COVID-19 in the Republic of
Uzbekistan. Material and methods: Official statistics on the prevalence of coronavirus infection in
Uzbekistan in March-December 2020, statistical analysis of primary medical data, retro-prospective
research methods were used. Statistical data of 10848 patients treated at the Republican Special
Hospital No. 1 and 2 in Zangiota, mass observation, analysis of primary medical documents,
questionnaire method, retrospective examination. Results: Analysis of the incidence of coronavirus
infection in the dynamics was established in 2020, with a sharp increase in the incidence of
coronavirus infection in 3 quarters (62.83%). The highest incidence rate (63.6%) was observed in
people over 50 years old. Among patients aged 50 years and older there was a high proportion of
patients with very severe (%) and severe morbidity. Conclusions: The incidence of coronavirus
infection in the Republic of Uzbekistan was 238 per 100,000 population per year, and the incidence
was higher in women (53.7%) than in men (46.3%).2. Almost all elderly patients with concomitant diseases were hospitalized and they were often transferred to the intensive care unit. 3. The
organization and provision of timely medical and social care to the population of the Republic of
Uzbekistan has had a positive impact on the spread, course and prognosis of treatment of COVID-19.
